Meet Cori Lynae McRae
Director - Judges Chairperson

Cori has been involved in the Miss Minnesota Organization since her first competition in 2005.  Growing up, Cori spent a lot of time with former Miss Minnesota's as her mom, Kathy Shellum, helped prepare them for Miss America.  From making boxes with Vicki Plaster, spending the night with Brenda Armstrong, admiring Lynne Schacher and playing with Jo Bender, Cori developed a strong base for what would soon lead her to the Miss Minnesota stage herself.

Cori was Miss Great Plains in 2005, making the top eight at Miss Minnesota 2006.  In 2007, Cori held the title of Miss Coon Rapids and was 4th Runner up at Miss Minnesota 2007. Her platform, "Beads on One String: Building Enthusiasm and Developing Students through Reading" was a major part of her experience through her competition years.

Beads on One String still carries with Cori today, as she teaches Kindergarten in Austin, MN.  It is there that Cori met her husband, Josh McRae.  In March 2010, Cori and Josh welcomed their first child, Miss Callie Lynae McRae!
